Wildlife haven

It’s a semi-natural wood, more than 400 years old, home to rare moths and butterflies, breeding birds (including rare ones such as the nightingale and hawfinch) and two protected species (the great crested newt and the dormouse). Head to Ashford’s Greensand Way to access the woods.
