Down House
Home of famous evolutionary Charles Darwin.

A gem of discovery
Down House was Charles Darwin’s family home. That make’s it a pretty special place to come and take a look around, particularly in the grounds that doubled up as Darwin’s ‘outdoor laboratory’ and enabled his ground-breaking theories.
“Wonderful place! It was so interesting to learn about Charles Darwin and see all the rooms and artefacts so well preserved. It was very relaxing to wander in the gardens…a perfect day out in the English countryside.”
